Alyson and I have finally made to Tabor to full fill our art-in-residency gig and things are going well. The hosts have been fabulous and gracious. Both Hilary and Chris have opened their home, this age old mill to provide us with an environment to create a dance video project.  We have three and half days to come up with movement, document it with our point and shoot digital camera, and edit on one day our video which will be screened at the bar Orion in Tabor on Friday, July 27, 2007.  We are billed the same night with a aussie punk band called the Methylated Spirits.  Give us some time and we will posting some clips and stills from our week here in Tabor.  Chow!

Well, hello there, a sweet hello from Alyson and I from Praha. We are touring around the old town square drinking pilsner and coming up with visual ideas for our residency in Tabor, to spend a week at CESTA. We will be travelling tomorrow to the old medieval city. Keep connected and see what will be produced there. Yes, a week of dance, photos and art videos of privacy invasion, where art, sub-culture, and ipods clash with rural post-communist ideals.

Image 247 would like to mention that Alyson Wishnousky and Nikol Mikus have been invited to participate in CESTA’s Artist-in-Residence Program, in Tabor, CZ to assemble an artist’s collective entitled, the snapshots project. They will create a series of ‘public invasion’ dance performances with in the community of Tabor, and a dance-video presentation at CESTA. The collective’s intention for these ‘public invasion’ performances is to cause a reaction. They will demonstrate where art meets society and where society encounters art. The snapshots project, will include participants from CESTA, and will take place between July 23 and July 129, 2007, Tabor.
